This painting was done during the spring of 2023 in Florence, Italy, when I had a studio space at The Florence Academy and was doing a bit of teaching as well. This painting was done entirely from a live model who came in every day for 3 hours over the course of 6 weeks. This painting is life-size. I had the canvas parallel to the model while I was painting, making observations from several feet away.
